A fierce competition has erupted between Fulham and Galatasaray, both of whom want to acquire Brazilian midfielder Fred from Manchester United.
The 30-year-old player has received offers from both the London-based club and the Turkish club. The outcome of this battle may be crucial for Manchester United, as Fred’s contract extends until the summer of 2024.
On one hand, Galatasaray, who, after the successful signings of Ozan Zakar, Bakambu, and Icardi (who is nearing completion), seek to create a powerhouse in their league. They already have an outstanding roster with players like Zaniolo, Mertens, and Muslera.
On the other hand, Fulham, led by Marco Silva, has also built an exceptional roster and has the advantage of being in the Premier League, which could make a difference in the end.
During his five years at Manchester United, Fred has made 213 appearances, scoring 14 goals and providing 19 assists.
