Kostas Tsimikas Breaks November Assist Curse in Style!

By DIMITRIS MANAKOS

Liverpool’s game against Brentford wasn’t going to be easy, as Jürgen Klopp anticipated. Despite Tsimikas’s poor performance in the midweek match against Toulouse in France, Klopp decided to show his faith in Tsimikas by starting him at Anfield.

This was Tsimikas’s third encounter with Brentford, and he was determined to make them the sixth team against whom he recorded an assist.

And he did it! It was a significant moment for Tsimikas, as he achieved his first involvement in league-level goals in November. He had not managed to do so with Willem in Holland, Olympiacos in Greece, or even with Liverpool in any competition during the month of November in previous years.

But that changed as Tsimikas was credited with two assists in Liverpool’s 3-0 victory. What a remarkable comeback after a challenging night in France and the halftime substitution. The curse has been broken, and Tsimikas has proven his importance, particularly in November!
