Ο Χρήστος Βλάχος, πατέρας του Βάιου Βλάχου που tragically lost his life in the Τεμπών accident, spoke recently on the AΝΤ1 show «Καλημέρα Ελλάδα» about the ongoing controversy surrounding an upcoming concert dedicated to the memory of the victims. He emphasized, «This is a very uncomfortable and difficult situation. It is not acceptable for us to apologize for not wanting to raise funds in the name of our deceased children.» He further stated, «We participate in every event held for our lost children, but we are clear: we seek support, not money».

Mr. Vlahos revealed that he took the initiative last year in Larissa to mediate the differences among the families of the 57 victims of the Tembi tragedy. Unfortunately, his efforts were unsuccessful, as he stated that the association formed for the victims comprises only 5-6 families and does not represent all affected by the tragedy.

«We only learned about the concert through social media. We have established a clear boundary. We will not allow anyone to request funds in memory of our deceased children,» stressed Mr. Vlahos. He also described the association as a mere “stamp club,” indicating that it lacks genuine representation. When asked about the ideological aspects of the ongoing feuds, he replied that he has not noticed any particular ideological characteristics in the disputes that have arisen.
