The Greek national basketball team held its first gathering in preparation for the Pre-Olympic Tournament taking place from July 2 to 7 at SEF.
Vassilis Spanoulis had only nine players available as those who played in the finals were resting, including Giannis Antetokounmpo who will join the team on Wednesday.
Out of the 19 pre-selection players, only Vassilis Toliopoulos, Vassilis Charalampopoulos, Michalis Lountzis, Dimitris Moraitis, Nikos Hougaz, Giannis Kouzeloglou, Giorgos Tanoulis, Leuteris Manzoukas, and Neoklis Avdalas were present.
Expected to join in the coming days are Papagiannis, Calathes, Larentzakis, G. Antetokounmpo, Papagiannis, Mitoglou, K. Antetokounmpo, Kalaitzakis, and Walkup, while Sloukas’ availability depends on the extent of his injury as seen in MRI.
In support of Kill Bill are his assistants Elias Kantzouris, Diamantis Panagiotopoulos, Stefanos Triantafyllos, and Kostas Charalampidis, along with physical trainer Andreas Gkatzoulis.
It is worth noting that the first friendly match will be held on Friday at SEF against Poland, with the exact time still pending as the TV broadcast arrangements are being finalized.
